Although the organizations of East Europeans like Efraim are ultimately outdone by the advanced western Europeans, Efraim’s oldest son Tobias develops within an idyllic feudal set up in an attractive German landscape. The memories of their youth are associated with fairy stories told and people songs sung because of the affectionate peasant that is german into the spinning room, perhaps maybe maybe not associated with the worries of their ancestors.
